King Silk Art 100% Handmade Embroidery Thousand Japanese Koi Chinese Print Unframed Wildlife Fish Painting Gift Oriental Asian Wall Art Décor Artwork Hanging Picture Gallery Picture 32042W
King Silk Art makes silk embroidery wall art, 100% hand-stitched by Master Artists in Suzhou, China. Our artwork, Susho, is completely natural, created with tiny needles and pure silk thread. Susho is a 2500 year old family tradition, with a unique and fascinating history.
Our “Thousand Koi” are in fact nine hundred and ninety-nine koi. In Feng Shui, nine (or combinations adding to nine) fish swimming in a perfect circle are a powerful charm. A very long and easy life with endless wealth, endless good health and endless family unity.
In Chinese culture, the number nine is the luckiest of numbers, the king of the single digits and the favorite number of the Emperor. Nine represents the best of everything, the royalty of numbers, eternity. Nine hundred and ninety-nine, or three nines, add up to twenty-seven, and two and seven add up to nine.
Colors are very powerful, red attracts good luck and gold attracts money. In Chinese culture, the color red is very important, not just lucky, but also protective. Red attracts good fortune and frightens away bad fortune.
In Mandarin, the pronunciation of the word “Fish” is very similar to “Savings”. Fish symbolize wealth, and reinforces the Chinese cultural emphasis on the benefits of frugality.
Water symbolizes ease, the freedom to swim anywhere smoothly and effortlessly. In combination with other objects, like fish, water means that all benefits should come easily, without delay or obstacle.
